AI Engineer

Your primary focus is the AI layer itself — retrieval and embeddings, agent design, and the evals that keep agents accurate and reliable. You may also work on platform features and on customer agents.

What you'll do

• Design and improve retrieval — embeddings, chunking, hybrid search, and the strategies behind them
• Build and tune agents against real customer data, not just test data
• Write evals that keep agents accurate and reliable, and catch regressions before a customer does
• Improve the tools agents call, and how they decide to use them

What we look for

• 3+ years building production software, including AI or LLM-backed systems
• A deep understanding of how modern LLMs are built and how they work
• Production experience with LLMs — context and prompt engineering, agent design and evaluation frameworks
• Hands-on experience with embeddings and RAG strategies
• You measure results before and after a change, rather than assuming it worked
• Strong SQL, and comfortable in TypeScript
• Excellent with AI-powered tools such as coding agents
• Excellent work ethic, and a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
• Great communication and collaboration skills
